This is my second painting. It is modeled after a picture of a hillside. There is a large tree in the foreground, with a hill behind it that mad medium trees at the front and smaller tree farther away, at the top of the hill. It uses analogous green colors that get lighter and decreasing scale to create depth and it has a tan background.
This is my creepy trees painting. I used Disney style color schemes to create the illusion of depth. The fading colors of blue make the lighter colors look like they're in the back, and the bright colors on the trees in the front contour to the surface of the tree and make it look 3d.
This is my third Notan square. It is purple, blue, and orange. the purple and blue are analogous colors and they contrast the orange background, which is a complementary color to both of them. The design is symmetrical with straight edges and it is non figurative and non narrative.
This is my second Notan square. It is orange and purple, complementary colors that contrast each other. The design is asemetrical. It has curvy edges instead of straight lines and is figurative and narrative. It tells the story of deforestation.
